Principal's Message

Bennett Middle School Families & Community,

I am excited and honored to be a part of a school and a school district that has such a rich and colorful history as 29J.   Bennett Middle School is fortunate to have an amazing staff that is truly dedicated and passionate about serving the needs of all of our amazing Bennett Middle School students and our extended school community!  We will pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and positive environment for you and your students each and every year.

Professionally, I have been an elementary school teacher and a clinical professor with Adams State University and the Public Education Business Coalition, a non-profit organization that is partnered with The Boettcher Teacher Residency Program.  As a Field Director with P.E.B.C. and the B.T.R.P., I was assigned to teach, coach and prepare adult learners to become highly effective and dedicated teachers in a variety of schools, school districts and grade levels: Preschool through 12th Grade.  My passion for supporting the ongoing professional growth of teachers led me to a district level Instructional Specialist position in District 27J where I led professional development delivery and coached administrative leaders and teachers.  Before arriving at Bennett Middle School, I was an Assistant Principal and Principal in School District 27J in Adams County.

Personally, my wife and I have been married for 23 years and we are both Colorado natives!  We grew up in Adams County and graduated from Brighton High School and Fort Lupton High School, we currently reside in Brighton.  We have three amazing children and we enjoy spending our time running around the state attending local rodeos; hiking and riding motorcycles…well, that last one is just me!

I truly believe that every student deserves a highly intentional and culturally responsive educator and a positive school experience.  A school is simply a building without a vibrant student population, a dedicated staff and an active partnership with you.  We are guided by our beliefs, values and our school’s Unified Improvement Plan, (U.I.P.) that you can find on our school’s website.

In our ongoing efforts to continually improve, I welcome any questions, concerns, advice or suggestions that you may have regarding your child’s experience at our school throughout the school year.  Together and in partnership with you, I know that we can achieve the positive experiences and outcomes that we all desire for our children and our Bennett Middle School community.

Sal (Salvatore) G. Conca,

Bennett Middle School Principal
